Hi, I’m Lina Fernandez, founder of El Refugio Homestead—a small-batch lifestyle brand born from the stillness of the pandemic and a deep love for all things handmade, faith-filled, and farmhouse-inspired.

In 2020, life slowed down. We leaned into DIY projects, faith, and family, and rediscovered the beauty of creating with our own hands. That’s when El Refugio—Spanish for “The Refuge”—was born.

Our name honors both a spiritual sanctuary and a nod to our family’s roots in Uruguay. It’s more than a shop—it’s a reflection of what we cherish most: quiet moments, warm gatherings, and the comfort of a cozy, well-loved home.
